this the last for testing done by Max

I made 5 razors for testing, 3 damascus with solid edges, and 2 mono steel

4 of the razors have 1/4 hollow grinds and 1 has a 1/2 hollow grind

the steels used in the test are 1095cv, 1086v, L-3, 12C27, and O-1 (not in that order)

these alloys are pretty simple. We are looking for steels that respond well to honing and produce the smoothest shave.

The input from Max so far has been great. I've learned more about razors than steel. Thanks Max for doing the testing. I'm hoping the we can do a colaboration soon. Look out!!

Very nice Hoss although this particular pattern does nuttin for me. Is the razor one solid piece or have you welded the lower part of the blade to the damascus??

I like how the steel and the wood compliment each other with their grain patterns! Fantastic job!

I had no idea that such control over the design in the metal was even possible. My head is suddenly swimming with ideas for blades, if only I had forging experience, maybe one day. Very beautiful razor.

It looks well made and the scales are nice. It's just the damascus pattern that is not doing it for me. Reminds me about the test image they used to air on TV, back in the day when the channels still had empty blocks :)
Although I have to admit that I admire the precision with which it was folded.

Spectacular, I can't stop admiring it... this razor is a great looking blade
