Wow, very nice look to the scales and great job with the razor, but I love that wedge, that green really pops.

If I remember correctly, Lignum Vitae was once used as bearings around propeller shafts in ships since it has natural oils which lubricate the shaft and is very long wearing.

Not to hijack but I thought you'd like to see 60 year old Lignum Vitae. This was my Dads night stick, it is very special to me as you can imagine. He used it for 20 years then I used it for 25. I think I am going to sand it a bit and throw some oil on it. I threw in a razor for size comparison.Attachment 70753
Very nice Glen, I acually picked up a peice of this wood about 3 weeks ago from woodcraft the grain is just awsome looking just haven't decided which of the ones i have waiting on new scales i want to start with.
