Here is a new one it that was forged from 1084 with green canvas micarta. The blade is a hair smaller than 6/8s in parts and a hair bigger than 6/8s in others. It is about a 1/4 hollow. The canvas micarta has been bead blasted. The blade was dipped in ferric chloride for that gray look.

Lovely work, it looks like something out of Lord of the Rings! The micarta scales look like they're off a dragon and really accent the razor. I haven't been part of this forum long at all but I'm really looking forward to seeing what some of you post already, thanks for sharing! Happy hammerin'

The tang has more of a visual impact than a tactile impact. The blade rolls easy when stropping and feels good when shaving. The tang feels a bit bigger normal (because it is) but not in a bad way, just different. I like the feel and grip of the tang I find it very comfortable.Quote:
