Full rebuild, Chinese stamped Sheffield ????

I am not sure of the brand, I have seen razors like this from all the usual suspects From W&B to the Tillotson's but there were no stamps other than the Chinese Ideograms...

The razor was well worn, so I did a full face regrind then started the restoration...

Rick had asked for the Bahama Mama acrylic but I searched out a set of blanks that I thought looked especially like Jade and used those... I ended up with Faux Ivory for the wedge, funny story though, the first wedge just didn't work out so well, considering like an idiot I put it in backward when I built it :banghead: Just could not figure out why the pivot was pushing together instead of flaring outward..

Silver and SS by request to hold her together..
I honed it up and found a nice small almost dead even bevel after all the work was done... :)

Oh yes...that looks really nice. I love the contrast between the "jade" acrylic and the wedge. Nice stuff!

Great work bringing that one back to life Glen. I do appreciate the colors on the scales as they add a little extra something to it.

Yet another beautiful save Glen! I never get tired of watching the old neglected razors get a new lease on life.

The Chinese makers will have to watch out. The new "Jade Dollar" is in town :)

Glen, wow man, I can't take it anymore... You make me feel so inadequate it's not even funny.

If I can get some shine on mine, re-use some old NOS scales, then I think I'm doing a restore (see new thread I just started). It's not even close to what you do man. Amazing, that baby went from the scrap pile to the gold pile. Wow. You are the man!! Really, I mean it.

If you could possibly spare some of that creativity, I'd be a willing recipient. However, I severely lack the skills you so obviously possess. Incredible blade man.. It looks awesome!!

since it is Chinese stamped and you are not sure of the maker, you could always try the 'ol take it to an authentic Chinese restaurant and see if they can tell you what it says. (please don't take that the wrong way)

So, most likely, this razor is "close relative" of W&B razor.
