What a beauty!
The Red Imp looks great Oz.
I like how the bluing turned out as well.
Superb job. The razor has a whole new long life! The bluing, if that is how it was done, really stands out nicely on the tang.
Thanx Stu, unfortunately like a few of us here, I often suffer from "before pics dementia"
Thanx Grant. Dunno if it's technically bluing or patina but I used an oxalic acid dip like on this one:

Thanx Glen, I timed the acid dip just right on this one so pretty pleased with the tang.
Must admit I noticed your washer stacks before hehehe. I just had to steal that look :)
Thanx again for all comments gents.
Wonderful restraint. All is bright and shinny where it should be. Where beautifully flat black, just makes the rest of it look that much more vibrant. Nice.
I love what you've done with this one Oz :bow...What do you mean not quite restored? She looks perfect enough to me :tu.
BTW: How do you re-blacken the tang (acid dip or something)? Also, do you think that painting the writing on the scales will be worthwhile or too much of a PITA?
Thanx Robert . Yep oxalic acid dip. I would have done the scale's logo if it was deep enough to hold the paint but I think its too worn.
Damn that's good! The lettering certainly looks deep enough to have taken that gold finish. No point though, its sweet as it is.
Great work Oz. Looks good as new.
