Boker in Bone
This is for a fellow here in Toronto. I believe he picked it up for $5 at an antique shop. Not a bad deal I'd say. I'm fairly certain that these bone scales were the originals, and he wanted to keep them. I just about had a heart attack trying to take them off, and then again when I was putting them back together....
We left a bit of character in the blade and a bit on parts of the scales. The scales soaked in neatsfoot oil for a couple days and then were sanded and buffed. I took a boat load of pictures, but couldn't get the angle to show the shine....:cen
Original wedge, new pin and microfastener.

Very nice. I've been experimenting with bone and I'm curious if the neatsfoot oil changed the color of the bone at all? Again, great work.
