Two Germans with new clothes

First one is a SHS that was is pretty rough shape when I got it, quite a bit of rust and lots of chips in the edge, the blade measures a bit over 5/8

Hand sanded up to 1.2K ad polished with Autosol using a Dremel, scales are a copy of the original bakelite scales made in Green G10 with Hunter orange G10 wedge pinned with SS washers and silver nickel.

Second we got a Alocoso measuring a little over 13/16, hand sanded up to 2K and polished with Autosol/Dremel
Original scales was pretty warped, and I didn't fancy the color much so I made new instead of straighten the old ones, still haven't decided weither to put on the logo on the scales or not (or the best way to do it for that matter)
Scales are made of Blue acryl with bone wedge pinned with some vintage washers I had lying around and silver nickel.

If anyone have some information to share about this one I'd be happy :)

Nice job!
It's great to see old razors brought back to life, to shave again.
Besides the act of shaving itself; I love seeing the restoration of old razors the most.
I envy the guys on this forum that have the space, equipment and skill to restore old razors.

Nice work Zephyr. Where did you manage to pick up the G10, i'm interested in using this on a few razors I occasionally restore.

They look great. What is your source for acrylic. I may want to do a couple in acrylic and only seam to find 5" long pieces.

Thanks guys, I picked some assorted pieces of both the G10 and Acrylic from a member of "the other place"

You can get G10 from Masecraft, but they have a minimum order of $100 for international and at a price of $10 pr. sheet you will get enough G10 for a lot of razors.

Where to get Acrylic I don't know, I really haven't considered using it until I got this now, but I might be going to try to get some more, it was vey easy to work with and turned out very nice.
