You have a great eye for shaping those razors. I agree with Max, it has Grant written all over it. Well done.

Whenever this gets bumped, I see that razor again and love it again. You did an amazing job!
Whoa! There's a difference in a grinder and a good one! You are getting to be a good one! That thing has to be the save of the year! Scales are sweet! Extremely impressed! :bow ..........Tom
that is absolutely an amazing turnaround. while i knew it was the same, i just couldn't believe it. I hope you understand that imitation is the most sincere form of flattery and i have been looking for some shapes and concepts and this one has got me excited.
some questions.. do you spend quite a bit of time drafting curves and lines on paper or what? the short wedge, pretty cool, what gave yo that idea or was it just spur of the moment. is the thumb notch comfortable at that size?
and again i love the french points that you do... great job.. outstanding
Dude ! You've acquired the alchemist touch. Great transformation & beautiful horn :)
I cant take credit for the short wedge, I have seen it done by Buddel who is a member here and an amazing razor artist. I've always found his designs amazing and inspirational and some of his design elements are deep in my subconscious.
Yeah, I can spend days thinking about how shape the blade and scales, I must have done 10 different scale designs for this one, and then ended up using the first one.
Certain things with the blade are dictated by the blade itself, for example the toe had some nasty rust and heavy hone ware on the spine. So the toe was kind of asking to be shaped like that.
Thanks to everybody for your kind comments on this one, I'm very proud of how it turned out.
I had my first shave with it a couple of days ago and it is SWEET. :y
