    Default Wostenaluminumholm

Great work on this forum by everyone, as usual! I finally got to finishing another one for the old rotation. I have been saving these scales for years, waiting for the right blade. This one was not exactly right, though. I unpinned the aluminum bottom pin, removed the aluminum wedge and found an old lead wedge the right size to keep the 7/8 blade from poking through the bottom. Some bushings were required on the bottom pin holes as the original aluminum pin was quite large. I used Babur's collars and domes with brass spacers. A bit of tweaking was required to clear the large tang. It sure was nice to start with a fairly clean blade as getting it put together was a mess! The hones tonite and the shave soon!
    Thanks! Tom

Lovely work Tom. Those scales are magic, they've got some class. The blade looks great too, well done.
