    I agree. I'm in awe of it. Something to use and keep for a very long time. Nice way to remember this Christmas.

    Absolutely a work of the heart. The effort to finish by hand is more than impressive to me, and I can readily understand your pride in the first shave you had from this beautiful razor. I'm excited when I get a good honing. Thank you for sharing.

    Very clean lines, especially for a first blade.
    There are somethings you can't buy with money, and first shave with the razor that you made yourself is definitely one of it.

    what kind of steel? what tools did you use other then the bench grinder?

    Nice job. The size is fine . In fact it is 5mm shorter than the big Iwasaki 'head shaver'
    I see what you mean with the back bevel but don't be too hard on yourself. That's a great effort. Congrats.
    btw is that a Suita it is sitting on ?
