Are you using cold blue? I really want to do this on my Case red imp, because I think it was originally blued on the tang and maybe the spine, but I'm not sure the procedure to do it properly.

Yes you are the man, what a great result!! Love it. I wish i was half so handy.
I'm seriously impressed. That went from pretty nice to svelte. What a nice customization.
Really great looking blade, something quite eastern looking about that razor, excellent work.
Jamie.
Pins:
I use a 5/64 bit it allows for "Percussion Bulge" that is what is splitting your scales, the rod we use is a 1/16+ size so it is tight going into a 1/16 hole you need a little slop...
I do NOT polish pins, I use a highly polished Hammer and a polished Jeweler's block for the final tapping and they come out pretty darn good. Tap around the edge on the pin to mushroom do not tap straight down and do not hold the razor straight, you need to keep everything moving in a circular pattern... If you want them perfect you simply cover the razor with a thin sheet of near anything, or tape, and cut a hole the size of the pin and polish on the buffer.. Myself I find that as a waste of time, because sonner or later every pin needs tightening :(
Blue:
I use Birchwood Casey "Super Blue" it gets me close to the old Vintage look which is far from a perfect bluing, in fact I stop the reaction pretty fast with WD-40 and wipe them down with a paper towel to keep them from looking perfect...
You can get a rather deep dark bluing if you warm the metal first, and dip the razor, rather than using a Q-tip, it depends of the outcome you are after, myself I am chasing the Vintage look...
That is wild. Very cool stuff.
Great job, Glenn. That is a great example of turning a sow's ear into a purse.
GLENN!!! Awesome, I'm liking the circles, course you did my Real Red point that way. Hmm I got a 'broken point' Reynolds that would look good like that....
Hey Glen !
Wow! Now that's a COOOOOOOL one ! Hats off !
