Restored Sheffield Steel x Two
These came out to me from "Brothers" here on SRP, these were a little bit more of a challenge, as that had been worked on by another restorist first...
This first one, a W&B, Gary and I decided we would just re-scale in a set of reconditioned vintage scales, so I found an old W&B set from the "Box-o-Scales" that fit right and ran them through the wringer, and got them all polished up again..
I used Brass pins and Triple stacked washers to complete the look..

Now the second razor a Joseph Rodgers, was a bit more work, I had a razor that had been polished out once , but not to what Gary wanted, so I had to re-buff the razor and still try and keep the stamps intact.. I took it out to what I call a "Near Mirror" but did it very gently on the buffers, and with a little help from deep original stamps I managed it..

Now the scales I had to use new material since there were none, but I wanted the "Vintage Look" I used an old cracked set off another JR as a template and even used the original lead wedge... Gary chose Acrylic Tortoise Shell which resembles the old JR mottled Horn pretty darn close :)
