    Default 9/8s Damascus & Red-Black Linen Micarta

Here is a 9/8s, 125 layer 1095&15n20, forged then ground. The scales are made of red and black linen micarta. The spine and tang have been textured.

What a masterpiece! I especially liked the way the Tang and spine work, just a powerful looking piece of work. Bravo! Well done sir!

Some serious steel flows into the scales. All balanced perfectly together. : )

Very nice as usual Charlie. That baby looks like it could leave a few nicks if one weren't careful.

That appears to be a one piece set of scales. Would you care to describe the process in making them?

The scales are three piece scale, wedge, and scale.
