Wade & Butcher Bow Razor - Black Horn & Vegetable Ivory

I've had this one on the back burner for a while, but finally got the wedge fitted and pinned yesterday, so here it is.
I owe a big thank you to Maxi for the pinning help and the shop time which allowed me to make the scales and to Dllandry for tumbling the blade to a beautiful shine. I tried to make the scales as close to the originals as I could and I used Tagua nut (courtesy of EPD) for the wedge, which is a very cool material. It has a bit of grain to it and it shines up really nicely. The blade has some battle scars, but I like the extra character!

I think I've had 5 or 6 come and go, but this is, by far, the nicest of the bunch.

I like it. It looks like you did a bit of work to the toe, the original seems to have had the toe muted or something but the restored picture looks like you corrected this? Nice work in any case :)

Thanks. As for the point, that's probably just my poor photography. I didn't really change the profile of the edge much at all, other than to hone it up to shave-ready (or my closest approximation :p)

That's a very nice and fitting scale shape. I like how the scales are so thin - in my own laboratory, I hesitate to make horn scales that thin, for fear of rushing, overheating, and warping them :(

The rounding of the scales at either end is superb workmanship to mange it without even a hint of a flat.
