steampunk razor
Inspired by this:
http://straightrazorpalace.com/custo...aving-set.html
I decided to make a straight razor for a friend of mine who loves steampunk flavored things. I'm sorry I don't have more of the process in picture form, and some of the pictures are better than others, but here is the result which I was very happy with. We had at least once failed attempt where the resin bubbled, and figuring out how to place things took a couple iterations but it was worth it in the end. There is also a badger brush that I fashioned out of a brass piece meant to hold two hoses together. We never got a good picture of it, sadly.
Enjoy

The sides were similar but not identical. The gears were just a mixed bag that I sorted through and picked out the interesting ones. Sorry for the camera phone photos, it was all I had at the time.

As much time as you put into that we need better photos. I can't hardly see the scale details. It looks cool though. That came put really nice. Very inventive!

Hi rurouniagra,
I see you've been around since February, but this is your first post, so Welcome to SRP!!
I too would like to see some more photos, maybe outside or by a window where you have better and more natural light. I like steampunk and really enjoy seeing how different people incorporate their items into the piece. It looks good from what I can see!!
Thanks for sharing, and again Welcome!! See you on the forums!
Best Regards,
Howard
