The design and artistic decisions that went into this razor, not to mention the fabricating skills are amazing. I generally admire traditional looking razors, but this is such a formidable piece of work.....truly unique....wow!
I sure you are very proud of your first attempt. You have received praise from nearly all of the masters on this forum, as well as from us regular guys. You hit this one out of the park! Personally, i like everything about your razor. Now, go back to your forge and make some more!
The Razor is super very beautiful
That is f'ing amazing that you were able to do that from an old file. The talent that a person is blessed with always fascinates me. You've done a mans job with that one.
Love it, well done Grant :tu
The aggressive looking profile (great scales for it!) paired with the "filework" on the back, and the long tail..
It's an inspiration - may it shave as it looks :chapeau
Man, Grant! It turned out awesome! The posts and pictures along the way were enjoyable as well! It looks as if all the work and learning have come to fruition in a sweet razor. Kudos, Mate!
Grant thats so cool what a great looking blade. You really did a wonderful job. The left over file marks is a fabulous touch as well.

Exactly, thanks to everyone for your kind words, and yes it is a real honor to receive compliments from the guys I consider my razor making heros.
The razor hasn't made it to the stones yet, I'll hopefully have time on Monday night.
I'll let you all know how the shave goes.
Thanks
Grant
I had started wondering if we were going to get an update on how they turned out. That razor looks great and I'd be pretty pleased if my first razor comes out looking half as good as that one(when I get around to making it).
