My first conversion with genuine Ivory and Cocobolo handle.

I bought entry model of Theirs-Issard's razor about a year ago. I was not really happy with it so I decided to use it as a base for my first job. T-I use good steel for theirs razors. I always wanted to have fixed straight razor as it gives more flexibility of moves during a shave, so it is much easier to reach difficult places. Ivory used for handle comes from old, broken scales. I had shave today, and I have to honestly say it was better that I was hopping. I would say that smoothness and easiness of shaving with this one is very similar to SR with brand new Feather blade. What do you thing guys?

If you told us what you were going to do before you did it i would say your Crazy. But seeing it finished Wow very well done.

Thank you for all nice comments. Spine work was done using Dremmel-like device on the very beginning of work, but mostly with sanding paper (grit 120, 320, 400, 600, 800, 1200). I was wrapping sanding paper around wooden stick (the one which comes witch Chinese take way). Polishing with felt wheel, buffing on bench grinder and Farecla G3 compound and finally manual polishing with cloth and Farecla G10. It took around 45 hours to finish project. Handle and Ivory were joined together with resin. Razor was glued into the handle and then pinned with brass pin. To keep smooth surface I decided to not use any washers.
