Just the scales,

Well, I've been waiting to get these pics up!
I did these custom scales for a gent down in Halifax. They are G10 with an orange/yellow acetate wedge.


The hinge pin in a 1/8 torx that I recessed into the scales. It is removable for cleaning and easy to adjust tension.


Pins are Nickel Silver, with stacked SS washers.


It took almost 3 weeks for the Nickel Silver rod to arrive so that I could pin the wedge.


I only had to do some LITE cleaning and a quick polish to the blade. Someone previous to me had restored it quite well.


I test shaved it, and it took an amazing wedge!

Ironsidegnr does very good work. This is the 6th razor he has restored for me and the 3rd of which he has created custom scales for. His work is top notch! I recommend his services without reservation. Nothing but satisfaction from him, he always goes over and above. Needless to say I can't wait to hold and use this razor. LOVE those scales! :rock:

Hahaha! Just seen this now Jeremy. I would have but now that it's in the mail it's kind of a tall order logistically. ;)

Patrck thats what sets guys like you apart from guys like matt.

It's true, I was soooo excited to FINALLY get this razor put together that I totally forgot about asking Pat if you could test-drive it.

On the up side, you still have WAAAAAAAY more razors than me.....pick one of those to shave with!
