2 New Sets of Scales

Two new sets of scales.

First up is a DublDuck Gold Edge 6/8 in Azurite/Chrysocolla Recon Stone with an Ivory spacer.

Next is a Boker Imperial Twisted Spine 5/8 in Tortoise Shell with an Ivory Spacer.

Very nice, I like both materials.

The first one is actual stone, not stone-effect acrylic or something? I didn't think you could do that - isn't it too inflexible?

It's reconstituted stone from Masecraft. How it was explained to me, is it is ground up stone that they infuse into fiberglass resin.

It is super stiff and hard, more so then G10 in my opinion. I'd say be careful while cutting, it is very easy to use too much force while cutting and crack it.

It's an epoxy resin based material. I worked it the same as G10. Once shaped, I hand sanded it up to 3000 grit. Then finished it with some Johnson's Paste Wax.
