That razor never looked so good as now. Excellent job!
Glen my friend, as I’ve said so many times before; you never cease to amaze me!
The finish on the blade is Excellent! I also love how you stayed so very close to the style of the original scales!! The honey horn and bone wedge are a marriage made in Straight Razor Heaven!
While I’d have the privilege of shaving off of your edges, to watch you in person teach others how to take out a nick and then hone it to perfection was a very special event!
This is a razor that he will always treasure! Not just because of how it looks and shaves because of your efforts, but because he was able to see the ‘Magic’ of honing and the skill it takes to get it ‘Right’ and ‘Right’ the first time!
We see a lot of restorations here in this forum, but that one is a real stand out for me.
Great work Glen

HO-LEE $@%&! That's about all I can say.
better then new glenn.. nice work!
Thanks Catrent! Glen did a masterful job on it, and I was afraid he may have done too good. I thought if it was too pretty, I might be hesitant to use it. Quite the contrary! It shaves great and begs to be used. I realize that when it comes down to it, razors are just tools to do a job, but I feel that they all have a personality to themselves, perhaps only perceived so in my mind, but they do none the less. This razor is old, probably hasn't been used in decades and has been given a new lease on life. For me not to shave with it would be a crime. I had my second shave with it today, the first one was done with it just as it was handed to me, today it got stropped. Twenty laps on linen and sixty on leather. It was easy to strop, the weight of the blade lent its self to it very well. The shave was even smoother than the first, maybe the strop or maybe that it's learning my face.
I see many years of shaving with it, God willing. I'll rotate it into the stable, I don't want the others to get jealous and nick me out of spite!!
You may all feel free to bombard Glen with as much work as you want now that he has finished this one for me!!
Regards, donv
I love those scales!
