Karl Engels restore by mycarver

Gents,

Just wanted to share another great restore by Mark, AKA mycarver. Its a Karl Engels and Sons "Kronprinz", (not sure if any relation to F.W. Engels). The razor had deep pitting and corrosion, but Mark took care of it and gave it some beautiful streaked honey horn scales. This thing is a great shaver and gives more feedback than anything else I have, I am very pleased with the results!

Day and night difference, nice work. Just curious, can you walk through the blade restoration process? How much time did it take to get it cleaned up? I'm just learning about the restoration process and would welcome some of your thoughts and how you did what you did.

Thank you! But I didn't personally restore it, the credit goes to fellow member mycarver. I don't want to intentionally drive up his backlog, but it was a very quick turnaround and he kept me well informed as to the progress of both the blade and scales.
