G&B
A fellow board member spotted this razor in a shop in Kosovo. When he went back to get it a couple weeks later there was a full blown riot in the street where the shop was. Even though there was a riot with police, tear gas , risking bodily harm etc. he was determined to get his razor and kept going for his prize. Makes my razor shopping lame by comparison.
After getting the razor he had to do some fancy footwork to get it past customs just to get it to me. After several weeks it arrived.
Knowing his determination to get the piece I was just as determined to get it restored for him. It was the least I could do for him.
Polished up the blade and made some scales out of Streaked Honey Horn. I copied the original scale pattern and used the original wedge and finished it up with triple stack washers.
I'm sending it to another "safer" location , specifically, Hawaii where it will wait for his arrival.
