Please let us know how the shave goes after you hone it! It looks like a very heavy wedge, do you plan on using some layers of electrical tape to slightly raise the razor from the hone?
Just wondering!

So, I just got the bevel set with one layer of tape. It is a pretty wide bevel :)
It was a little time consuming but the steel is so nice that at 1k it looks really uniform and smooth under 45 power loupe. I'm sure its going to be a great shaver. :tu
I'll post pics once i have it honed up and a link to my first shave.
Thanks guys for the comments.

The scales look fine...nice clean vintage look, and looks like they have plenty of life in em. Well done overall :tu
My old Sheffield has similar scales and with all the flea bites too, and they've stayed in place also!!
Really nice work and a great looking old W&B. Enjoy that shave!! :D
Howard :)
Wow it looks so great after you cleaned it up, like a new razor. The scales look fine to me too, great job!

Here she is, ready for the Shave Test :)
Bevel set and without a middle stone polishing was a little slow.
Heavy slurry on BBW and Coticule.
Finish with Charnley Forest.
Both new to me stones from last week.
I DO believe I'm gonna love tis thing! :tu
