That's a heck of a lot nicer than my first attempt. You're off to a great start.

For a first attempt, this is spectacular. You have nice smooth curves, good pins, and the proper thickness of material. Well done.
I prefer to bevel my edges quite a bit more. I find this helps with the overall balance and weight. That's just my opinion though.

Thank you for the kind words! @ maxi, that is what I was looking for, constructive criticism! I will definitely take that into account on my next attempt.
Great job for your first attempt! The only criticism I would give is to give your wedge a little more wedge shape, that'll improve the curve to flow better on the wedge end of the scales before the spacer pin. But overall the blade sits nicely in the scales...well done :)
