Hart Steel With Custom Ivory Scales
-
Very Nice,Can you post a Bigger Pic?
-
I don't know what Tim did but the changes in the shape of the scales really is an improvement over the not so nice clunky industrial looking Hart scales. To me that makes the Hart much more pleasing to the eye.

I have 7 Hart Steels 1 in Ivory, 1 in Ebony, 1in Cocobolo, 3 in Black resin and 1 in White Resin. I plan on rescaling the 4 sometime soon just not sure what I scale them in I know I want one done in carbon fiber, What would ya'll do?? let me know Please
-
That looks great!
I just sold my Hart steel (for second time) but will definately buy one again. I had the round point in maple scales and always thought the round point was too round and wished the handle had jimps.
I want a square point with jimps 6/8 , polished this time.
I saw a photos on undreams site of a Hart STeel with blond horn scales, I think I'll do something like that myself next time.

I went to the Hart site to see what they looked like closed in the scales and compared to my 8/8 Puma there is a lot less blade exposed. Almost like the top line of the Hart scales are not as concave there as other razor scales. Would that be the difference making the Hart scales look more bulky?

I don't know what it is,not dissen anything.Just to my eye something looks out of porportion.
-
Not dissen anything either but I always thought Harts scales were bulky/industrial looking from my POV and could never put a finger on why. I think I know why now. That is the thing with aesthetics, everyone likes something different, nothing wrong with that.

This post gave me Hart fatigue.

Here is a pic of all 7 the Left side Razors are from top to bottom,TZ Ivory, next Is ebony, and Cocobolo the right side are Hart resin By far the TZ Ivory are the best Looking by a long shot after all this is this is the USA and people can think as they please. In the long shot the only one that need to pleased with them is me and I am very much pleased with them Tim did a outstanging job with what he had to work withAttachment 130814

The blades are beautifull, pls take no offense at my comments.tims work is the best of the best for sure,as to what he had to work with? that was also the best of the best IMO.
-
It is hard to tell from the pics, but the Ivory looks relatively thick (to other Ivory scaled razors). I love the one-piece look. I also like the thicker Ivory. Makes me jealous.
-
I 'm not sure if it's my photography or what but all the scales are the same size never the less I am impressed with the Ivory scales IMO no one could have made a better set. All I need is to have the others that are resin dressed in something different anyone have any suggestion as to what should be used ? What would you use?

-
Personally i think the scales look great! reason being that when you see the scales you know right away its a Hart razor.

And the lawyers are happy because no one can cut themselves, at least when they are closed!

I think I broke my scrolling finger?................Thanks for re-posting those pics again pixel
A Hart 7/8 satin Square point in Ivory or Black resin is on my wish list
-
Don't worry Slam, they're just jealous. And enough with the pics. How about some sound effects to go with that slide show. Nice blades all around.

Now that Tim Zowada has come out with hid 2H2H razors if he goes into production I am going to need 7 of them I have a prototype with Ebony scales w/ a blood wood wedge just beautiful and a great shaver at that I think hart would have been wise to use some different types of natural materal for scales other than resin I still like my harts but after shaving with the 2H2H its like night and day and I think Tim has some other ideas for the 2H2H line of razors we'll just have to wait and see if anything comes out of it.
-
What I've seen of the 2H2H you may as well just buy the Hart razor, because to my eyes the look almost identical? Also when you say they are like night and day, I don't mean to be intrusive but would you care to expand and explain what you mean by like night and day with the way they shave?
