AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE...
Mick
Oi oi oi...
Man you must be bored! :-)
But never fear first Tuesday shave club pour une is here.
Not bored Ed, just puttin' the call out. Aussies know what I mean. :) Screaming out Aussie Aussie Aussie is the same as when the natives of this land stand on top of an ant hill with a bull roarer swinging. Like Highlander, it's a calling of the brethren. Like Owain Glyndŵr uniting the tribes to a single cause. Like knocking on your neighbours door just to see if anybody's home...:)
Mick
Seem to remember john Howard doing it once, anyway I thought it was coooooeeee.
Should get in practice so that after I've had the pie put in, I will be good at it.:-)
No mate. That's only when you're lost in the bush! Aussie Aussie Aussie is more like a rallying call, a War Cry to gather the troops...And I once used it to locate three British girls at Disneyland over in the US ;)
Mick
Well after I stood on a little bit of garden edging and yelled out AUSSIEAUSSIEAUSSIE, all the other tourists turned and looked at me, but almost instantly turned and looked in the direction of the OI OI OI that they gave in response. It was then that our tour group was able to locate them for final meeting instructions for later in the day. ;)

Awesome stuff !!
QUEENSLANDER!!!!!!!!!!
ADAAAAAAAAAM! MAAAAAAAAAAAAATE!
Bit quiet around here these days isn't it?
Mick
I'm just an O'l Yankee...but a proud supporter of my Aussie friends. Good folk ta have on yer side.
What's all this shouting? Some of us old cantankerous Aussies are trying to take a nanna nap here.
James.
Noice to know you've joined us again Mick. :p
Yeah yeah! I got nagged back into the place. And I was only gonna stop by for that day but it's been a whole week...And what do I find. No Aussies in the Down under forum at all.
And so young James, that is the reason for all the shouting. You dozey buggers have gone and slacked off in my absence. :)
Mick
Still trying to get used to these new fangled computer thingys.
don't have one of my own. don't even carry a mobile phone contraption all the time either.
Just not one of those techno people.
BUT, i am still around. Working slowly and awkwardly-shoulder stuffed from bike accident and has not healed properly yet. Now on light duties at work and physio, etc. Still refurbishing razors albeit one handed, and making strops and brushes {what was that old Chop Socky flick? One Armed Swordsman? }. :jedi:
Stand by for pics in a few days. Should have a set finished this weekend.
Adam
Ha! i liked the case Mate.
I made one for my phone out of Kydex, lined inside with felt. Will have to take a pic of that for you.
Sets i finished i posted in the Custom thread yonks ago. Still working on some others when i get a chance. Family dramas and working away from home have meant no time in the workshop for nearly two months. Got a backlog of knife sharpening and a bunch of razors that have been cleaned up but need new scales..... let alone getting time and money to get that grinder build done... this week we have a bunch of kids coming to stay for a couple weeks - maybe after that i can get something done.. sigh. and the Missus has kicked up a big stink about pipe smoking, so i don't even get that pleasure anymore.. :boohoo:
You'll just have to sneak out the back for a quiet smoke when she isn't looking. Mans gotta have something to keep him sane when not in the workshop! :)
Mick
That is awesome ! You have so much space. Enjoy
nice space Ogre
my whole bench space / work area would fit under your fridge
nothing worked on under 10/8" so you don't loose it in there LOL
What!!!! No Power tools?!?! How are you ever going to get that place in the dusty clutter it should be in, without a few bench grinders and such around the joint?!
Mick
The power tools, bench grinder and welder are on a rolling bench I can roll out into the carport and make a mess...keeps the shop half decently clean.
My 4k/8K showed up today...I have one hell of a sharp razor. Don't know if I have the balls to try my family heirloom razor on it.

So is this a proper shed then Mick?
Being a Canadian...a shed is a actually the ugly little tin thing I keep the garden tools and the mower in. I call the clean one the shop. ;)
O
Yes Mick it is Canadia. Canadians live in Canadia. They aren't Canadans.
There's a good wiki page that explains it all.
