Kev I have fixed several scales both plastic & horn without breaking them down just using an old credit card or similar cut into strips,
Place several layers of the strips between the blade & scales when closed,I usually have about 3 per side to force them out then place the whole razor in a sealed sandwich bag, place in a container of boiling water, until cooled should sort it out, you may want a couple of shots to get them spot on if you want
Make sure the bag is sealed so the blade doesn't get wet as it can stain or water mark your blade if boiling, but from the kettle will be plenty hot enough,
I have also used the hot water trick and manipulate them by hand while hot then put in cold water while you hold them to cool and reset them just use a layer or two of paper towel or something so you don't burn yourself while you hold them. A few seconds in hot water can make a big difference.
Sorry other option if as yours look they are bent outward use the same techniques but but some weight or a clamp on them to push them back down to the blade & close the gap into the cards
