A few years ago I picked up a bunch of flannel silverware rolls at a Estate Sale for a couple of bucks. Most have 6-10 pouches and each pouch is wide enough to hold 2 razors in each pouch.
I have stored some of my nicer razors in them in a drawer for years without any problems.
The bulk of my rotation, are in cigar boxes with dessicant packs. Those waiting restoration, are cleaned and stored in plastic shoe boxes with layers of unbleached napkins between them with dessicant packs on top.
I have not had any rust issues. You can buy flannel silverware rolls new, for about 5 bucks, cheaper used.
Leather can have some weird reactions with brass.
I do oil them lightly and check them every few months, it’s like Christmas each time, I find something I forgot I had and it goes into the rotation.
I have my razors in a custom leather holster... had it for over 2 years without oil on the blades. No rust on my razors. :)

Leather, open, like above is probably fine, especially with a little oil of the blades/pins.
As a guy who makes a lot of stuff from fabric and leather, I much prefer ultrasuede for its low cost, high durability, portability and flexibility as a roll-up. I wouldn't holster a gun in ultrasuede or stuff travel razors in a leather pouch. YMMV.

Ed - the 12-blade carry-all pouch is 100% UltraSuede, pocketed and flapped. It rolls up round or flat - very secure, nothing falls out, and easy to work with using a home machine.Quote:
