Default New meetup date for Brisbane

    Hello everyone.

As many may know, our last meetup had to be postponed due to some members unable to attend.

I would like to propose a new meetup date for February or March, on a date when everyone (or as many as possible) can attend.

I'm happy to host at my place or happy to meet elsewhere depending on what suits everyone best.

Please post dates that DON'T suit, and I will then post a vote/poll to vote for the day of the meetup.

It was a shame we had to postpone, but hopefully many more can make the next meetup.

Ricky had a great idea of making the next meetup themed ie making scales and pinning. If anyone else has a suggestion for theme, please put if forward to the group. Personally I like the idea of scales, as I need to use these woodworking tools I bought, but then again I would definitely benefit from some more honing advice/help as well as assistance with most aspects shaving related.

    Hope everyone's well,
    Andrew
p.s. I have a SMALL present (shaving related) for you all lol.

    Thanks Andrew,

I'm pretty much OK with any weekend in the February or March period. I'm also very keen on the scales and pinning theme too!

    Great Mike.

I think Ricky's idea of a themed get-together is great.

Thanks Andrew, I think the themed idea is good as well! I look forward to the next meet up. I would also be happy to supply transport from the Ipswich area as well if anyone is interested and needs a lift.

    Cheers

    Cheers Greg,

Nice idea ride-sharing... Depending on your generosity, EdHewitt from Perth is keen to attend a Brissie meetup... If it's not too far out of your way...

Hmmm I might have to think on that one!

Towards the end of Feb will be good for me guys, not sure about March dates yet though most weekends are booked already.
As for a theme for the meet, lets have a some input from those who may be attending and what they would like to learn more about.
Depending on numbers we can have groups of 3 or 4 working together in a hands on set up, ie learn by doing it for yourself.
I feel any larger groups than that would have some people missing the important information and not getting to do some of the hands on work.
I like Andrews' idea of a meet at his place in his workshop, and this way we all get a chance to check out his set up, maybe work with his wood working tools, and as a bonus may walk away with a momento of the day.

So how about we decide a subject - or maybe 2 subjects for the meet up.
Of course we can also do swaps, sales or gifts of shaving related stuff too.

Ok guys it's up to you to say what you want from the meet up, then we can work on making it happen.

Looks like this meeting will have to be postponed as there is not much time to organise anything now.
May try again later in the year.

I'd be very happy to host an event around end of April if people were happy to travel to the Sunshine Coast. It'd be great to meet some of the Qld people and swap stories, smoke a cigar or two and look at razors.

Mmmmmm - I haven't had a smoke for over a year now, John. How do you think SWMBO will take it?

FWIW the 22nd of Feb and the 29th of April is out for me.
