And I decide to clean the gutters because it's been 8 months since I last did it.
Talk about cat on a hot tin roof.
Yep can hear the rocks rattlin' in my head. Hmmm... Scotch on the rocks sounds good now I think of it.

Been hearing on the news that it has been unusually hot in OZ lately. They were quoting 50C in Sydney the other day and friends up in Brisbane had said something about 48C the other day too. When you get extreme temps like that it is just plain nasty. Enjoy your well deserved Scotch on the rocks.
Bob
Very hot and very cold are the two weather conditions that I choose to avoid as much as possible. Good luck with the gutter cleaning, although if it is that warm you likely are not goind to be using them right away.
Oh my.
What hardship you guys down there must endure...;)
Woke up to -24C this morning myself. That is -11F.
I do love our four seasons, but on days like this I'm contemplating a condo in Spain....
We just got out of two weeks of -20 to -30, got a huge snowstorm coming tomorrow, and then right back into the freezer.
I'll take that over 31c any time.
It got up to 0c yesterday and I was working outside in a t-shirt.
Being a Norwegian one would think I'd be used to the cold by now, but it actually gets worse every year.
Unlike you, Eric, I'll take heat over cold any day:)
Yea I hear you it's been in the mid 30's f here in Florida for the last week and I'm about to freeze :rofl2:
Same type of weather here for the last 2 weeks. Woke up this morning to 0C temps but but a snowfall warning starting tonight lasting till tomorrow. May start off as freezing rain, lovely. Then it is back to the deep freeze.
Birnardo is right, even though I grew up with these kinds of winter conditions it does not get any easier the older you get. Like RezDog I could do without the extremes of heat and cold.
Bob
Well, I was going to complain, but, all this makes my " +15 F " look pretty lame . . . . . .
Attachment 282023 here.....this should cool you off....and yes..that's a snow plow on the front of my GMC.
The sad thing is the bat die off due to the heat.
Ed Hewitt posted to me one time it was 51c in Perth. That is 125f. Not good for man or beast.
Birn there's an opal mining town in OZ called Coober Pedy. Gets so hot, houses are built underground or into the side of a hill :D
July 3rd last year, to be fair it often goes above 50 (in Qatar), but that's the first time I saw 52, (in the shade)
A few years ago we flew into Victoria Falls airport Zimbabwe and just prior to landing there was an announcement that the temperature there was 52C. I had to ask the wife if I had heard correctly. With the humidity there it was like walking into a wall of concrete on deplaning. Man, there are some hot places on this planet.
Bob
Yeah humidity is the killer been mostly dry here .
Yea, I guess Vic Falls felt more like Darwin to me than Sydney. Humidity really makes a difference.
Bob
Cold or warm both have their +/-.
An underground ground house helps with either.
Relative humidity is the way to measure.
What I dislike is the in between. 0C/32F. Ice or not etc.
37 here in PERTH 2 Day
Stay off the roof,roof ;)
58f (14c) yesterday
19f (-10c) today
Nothing like yo-yo temps to mess with your body
The things extreme temps can do. Yesterday morning there as only a trickle of water coming out of the tap when I went to shave at 0500. Checked the basement and no flooding there. Looked out the front window and the problem became obvious as there was water on the street a few doors down, water main burst.
It is now 2040 and we have our water back but with a boil water advisory in effect. I feel sorry for the city crew that worked 2 days to repair the break in > -20C temps. They earned every penny of their pay.
