I'm taking a guess that the maker of these is a member here.
Could whomever sent 2 custom/hand-made blades (sans scales) to the Razor Shop in Brisbane for honing please contact me via PM?

You can always give 'em to me James...:) How come you don't know who wanted them done? Has the razor shop lost the contact details...Or worse, did you? Whatever has happened, if you can't find the real owner, I got dibs on the first bullshit claim of being the rightful owner.

The guy who owns the shop deals with the customer - I am just the behind the scenes "talent". However, in this case I thought it would be best to talk directly to the maker of these, as there are a couple of technical issues I'd like to know about first hand.
However, it is all fine - I just went ahead and did what I *think* they wanted :D

If you are the behind the scenes talent for The Razor Shop in Brisbane, then thanks for doing a nice job on my Dovo Micarta a couple of weeks back, shaves like a gem now. Admittedly, Russ did say you were good at your craft and I agree.

G'day James. I believe I also owe you thanks for the job you did on my Dovo Inox in olive wood about a month ago. It is my first straight, gives a great comfortable shave and hasn't bitten me once! Great work, much appreciated, Cheers.

Too late, I took a screen-shot, got the proof!! Now to book a flight, turn up on your doorstep and demand one-on-one hone lessons! :)
You better take a cut lunch then. It's hard to stop young James when you ask him to whip out his stones...:) He gets right onto the task at hand and won't stop until you beg for mercy. :p He'll even put tape on your spine to stop the abrasive action from all the rubbing up and down...Makes it last longer so he says.

I have my own secret strop
Made from the hide of the legendary Drop Bear
It puts the most wicked edge on a razor I have ever seen
Legend has it there is only way to catch a Drop Bear
One must buy a large bottle of Bundy Rum
Drink the entire contents down in one session
Leave the empty bottle on the Kitchen table
And then if you are really lucky
You will see a Drop Bear
And if you can catch it
You will have the materials to make the best ever strop

I have heard that the skin infamous 'Hoop Snake' is better than drop bear hide for making strops.
I've yet to see the evidence though. :shrug:
