Would you guys mind answering a couple of questions for me please?
Kangaroo strops, what is your opinion regarding quality, function, and durability?
Where can I get hold of an Australian made (from local 'ingredients') horsehair shaving brush?

Quality and functionality of kangaroo strops is first rate. I love mine. I can't really comment on durability as I've only had it about a year and I use it mainly as a travel strop but there's no reason why it won't last as long as others.
Sorry, can't help you on an Australian horse hair brush. I've got a Vie Long hores hair brush but I believe they are made in Spain.
Kangaroo is durable & works well. Review - Kangaroo Leather
Don't know of any horse hair brushes down here.
O.o
Thank can't be ethical ;). Although, if anyone is going to know how to make a bit more money on the side...
Brilliant about the roo strop, where did you source yours from?
Do you get a good level of exfoliation with the horse hair?
Cheers for the literature Onimaru. It looked very well researched.
Wulf, I can vouch for the longevity of a 'roo strop for the last few years. Mines still going strong. My source for my 'roo hide strop was me. johnmrson got his from Legion I believe. I stand to be corrected there if needs be.
Mick
Thanks guys.
So Mick, where could I get hold of a Roo strop?
PM sent.
Mick
Guys , just a reminder before any sales talk happens.
It's not hard. Just follow young Mick's example & use the pm system. :)
Thank you.
Roo strops are very interesting the first time you have one in your hand. Thin leather and as tough as can be. They are just superb for stropping. I have a Legion and an SRD roo strop and would highly recommend roo.
