My sentiments exactly. Although I'm American, I must say that Akubra makes some great hats. The Campdraft is my personal favorite and it comes in gray as well to match Carl's gray jacket

Besides a ball cap which is work dress, my hat rack is proof I agree with you. :<0) All the others are for Halloween.

It has been darn cold in Melbourne so I had a chance to break it out. Am on a Schick quattro this week hence the stubble.

Reminds me when i was in Arab Emirates with the family. Now there was this damn big shopping mall with a downhill slope inside. There were also people throwing snow balls at each other. What the heck we thought, me and my son. We're masters in this, compared to those, let's get in and unleash hell.

Howevers, there were -5C (23 F) inside temp and they refused to let us in with our t-shirts without taking winter parkas they were offering for free so we refused. For a Finn it would be a blashemy and gayish to wear a winter parka at -5C.

Its all relative, bet you were baking outside. Melbourne weather is renowned for being changeable, and as it is right south it gets chilly in the winter, esp as I have come here from Karratha, top if western Australia, where it isn't really chilly ever, a bit fresh maybe but not chilly. When I am not in Karratha I live in Perth which is western Australia and had a good climate except for the really hot bits.
I came from the UK 6 and 4/8 years ago, the first winter didn't touch me, but the second one was unbearable, I guess I over acclimatised. Still feel cold In winter but it isn't so bad now.

Things are relative. I have a good mate/friend/ystävä (Finnish) who lived there (Melbourne) for almost 10 years, first working for Nokia and then got his own business. Then he came back here (that is a thing nobody still really understands) and got not-so-nice (although everything is relative) and overbearing wife. We call such creatures as cabin monsters.
There were many things he told about Australia but cold climate was never one of these.

I thought he already has one????
