That's what I want ! A flashlight that plays George Clinton. :roflmao
Oh no! I think this whole flashlight thing has indeed become a... Thing. I just bought another to replace my old headlamp! Its got mixed reviews, but a fantastic coupon code saw me buckle and buy.
We'll see how this little Spark headlamp does... But on a more positive or rather sure note, the Barracuda gets in on Saturday according to USPS. Woot.

Looking on the shelf above my screen I see a light that few years ago went everywhere with me. Water resistant, gold plated connections, 3 AAA batteries, and LED. By today's standards it was cheap at around $60! I wore it riding up to the top of the arch in St Louis and my kids laughed because I was looking out the window of the car to see how it was built. I lost it one fall camping and found it the next spring when the weeds were down. It lit right up. {No pictures so that didn't happen!}
It is still a beautifull and useful light but no it sits on the shelf just in case the power goes out and I might trip on my lunchbox or a hone on the way out the door!:rofl2:
The Petzl Zipka Plus is a great little headlight.
The minimalist retractable headband makes it very easy to carry. Have it with me every day at work as you never know when you'll need hands free lighting.

I am a Streamlight LED fiend! Super bright without the blue hue some have. These 2 Tasklights have been beaten around the shop for 10 years or more using rechargable AA's. I have "armored" them up a bit as they are constantly being dropped! Also, I ALWAYS have a Streamlight Stylus in my pocket. As I kick it on at night, people say "Dammitt, that thing is BRIGHT!" I have flipped the clip around and stuck it on the bill of my cap on many occasions!

That's always a great option if you can flip the clip around! It should be standard on all small flashlights I think. That or have those "either way" clips as in the photo below. I just stole the photo and have seen better examples but you get the picture lol.

Haha, reading maps in red light can be fun... the nice open field we found on the map and hiked all night to get to turned out to be a lake!
For those who don't know, red light won't kill your night vision.
