But being a long time cigarette, cigar, and pipe smoker, this is still new to me but is most definitely a tasty, guilty pleasure. So share your favorite shishas and post pics of those hookas if you got em! I'll try and post a pic of mine tomorrow :)[/QUOTE]
Do you still smoke cigs, cigars, or pipes? I ask because though I no longer smoke cigarettes, I still enjoy my cigars and would prefer that to the hooka. I mean many of my friends now have hookahs and invite me over to smoke... but I can't get into it. I sit off to the side and puff away on my cigar. I think its because I crave that classic tobacco taste that I just don't get in hooka smoking??
Are there more "classic" flavors that I can buy them so that I might try or enjoy? My friends really enjoy some "floral" stuff.

Yes, I do still smoke all of the above. I find the shisha is just an extremely different flavour, almost candy like, and I'm sure it's not for everyone.
Not sure, but I have read that the traditional shisha was much less like todays and more "tobacco like"...no idea where you could find it though.

Any lebinises(sp?) or jordainan(sp?) stores carry the more natural stuff where the more chic stores carry the flavorful ones, and the bigger the base the smoother the draw and more smooth the flavor

I have 2 hookahs that I smoke alot, and I mean alot. I.smoke the non fruit flavors mostly, with the occasional fruit thrown in. These are my babies

Catrentshaving, the more traditional can still be had very easily, now they are called blacks, nakhla has 3 different forms of them, I have tried 2, one is called zaghoul, the other is called kahn el kahlili. Both are excellent, they dont produce much in the way of large clouds, but they are full of flavor if you look. I most often mix my zaghoul with a gum flavor, to take the edge off the spearmint, but have smoked them solo.

I'll have to post mine up when I get home....
I was introduced to hookahs at a Persian tea house that we went to with some friends. Good food, good tea and good shisha. That night, our friends stopped on the way home at a tobacco shop and bought one along with several tins of shisha. About two weeks later, we were on the way to their house and stopped to pick up some shisha and coals, and I saw this awesome black and white one with no price tag. I asked the guy at the counter how much it was, and he said "Well, i dunno... how's $20 sound?"
When I came to from blacking out, I had a new hookah and my wallet seemed lighter.
As for shisha flavors, I absolutely LOVE a flavor called "Pirate's Cove" made by Starbuzz. Also, the cappucino flavored steam stones made by Shiazo are delicious. They are basically like electronic cigarettes in terms of the ingredients (propelyne glycol, glycerine, nicotine and propelyne glycol based flavoring).
