I stumbled upon this collection of old commercials and none of them would make it to the airwaves these days. I actually remember several of them.

Makes you wonder what we say today that will be taboo down the road.
I know what you mean my friend. Back in about '72 my dad's oldest sister and her husband had come north from Southern California for a visit and when I introduced my girlfriend to them my aunt said; "Nice to meet you honey, we're the queer ones". When we got outside to leave my girlfriend said "What did mean that they are Queer"?!?!? I said "She means that they are the strange ones, the odd balls".
Year later when my family was on holiday in British Columbia we were in the motel watching the food network and the English guy Jamie Oliver was opening a restaurant and was staffing it with students from a local cooking school. Well it was Grand Opening Night and Jamie couldn't find a particular cook and he said; "She'd better not be outside having a fag"! My 14 year old daughter's jaw dropped open and she exclaimed 'WHAT DID HE SAY"?!?! I calmly explained that it was a term for a cigarette and it was still used in Britain but I remembered it being used here in the states when I was a kid.
So yea it won't be long--------
Hope this fits the bill. Thought I would share my Friday afternoon video I took of myself and my girls. Hopefully the link works.

She's a monster when she wakes up Roy. It was tough getting her out of her snow suit, and I really only got her half out. Didn't want to wake her.
I had more trouble getting mine to sleep.
One of my fun memories about my daughter is that I heard/read that putting them in their car seat on top of the clothes dryer would do it.
It worked!:D
