Weird Al's movie 'UHF' was the only time I'd ever heard of Emo Phillips however with a little searching I've found his performances to be something that I enjoy!
I do hope all will enjoy this!

HAR!............
It's crazy! I had not snapped either! :banghead:
No wonder your kids are musical?
I'm going to be honest, it clicked with me I am just polite. I figure enough people have brought it up that it wasn't funny for you any more.
I did titter to myself though.
Years ago I worked with a kid (he was 17) his first name was 'Casper' and I figured that the Casper the Friendly Ghost thing had grown old by the time he was 5 or 6 so I nicknamed him 'Spook'.
That kid rose through the ranks to become a Store Manager with our company. I'd call his store and ask for 'SPOOK' and invariably the person would say 'Who'? And I'd say, just use the PA and say Spook line ----When the phone would pick up Casper would say. Hi Roy! What's up!
What's really funny is that until I watched that clip I had not thought of that.
There's nothing like a tour of humor than with Weird Al. This is from the Disney Special I hope all will enjoy it.

I stumbled upon this collection of old commercials and none of them would make it to the airwaves these days. I actually remember several of them.

Makes you wonder what we say today that will be taboo down the road.
I know what you mean my friend. Back in about '72 my dad's oldest sister and her husband had come north from Southern California for a visit and when I introduced my girlfriend to them my aunt said; "Nice to meet you honey, we're the queer ones". When we got outside to leave my girlfriend said "What did mean that they are Queer"?!?!? I said "She means that they are the strange ones, the odd balls".
Year later when my family was on holiday in British Columbia we were in the motel watching the food network and the English guy Jamie Oliver was opening a restaurant and was staffing it with students from a local cooking school. Well it was Grand Opening Night and Jamie couldn't find a particular cook and he said; "She'd better not be outside having a fag"! My 14 year old daughter's jaw dropped open and she exclaimed 'WHAT DID HE SAY"?!?! I calmly explained that it was a term for a cigarette and it was still used in Britain but I remembered it being used here in the states when I was a kid.
So yea it won't be long--------
Hope this fits the bill. Thought I would share my Friday afternoon video I took of myself and my girls. Hopefully the link works.

She's a monster when she wakes up Roy. It was tough getting her out of her snow suit, and I really only got her half out. Didn't want to wake her.
I had more trouble getting mine to sleep.
One of my fun memories about my daughter is that I heard/read that putting them in their car seat on top of the clothes dryer would do it.
It worked!:D
Been there! Done That! I can't remember how many times I've put one of the kids to bed with all of their clothes on including mittens hats etc as I didn't want them to wake up without being at least a bit rested and not 'cranky'.
I never had a problem with the kids going to sleep. However I will say that I learned a valuable lesson with the oldest one. As most of us who are parents you can tell by the look in a child's eye that they are tired. So when bed time was getting near my daughter would be getting 'that look' and I'd tell her it was time for bed and she usually didn't argue, however one time when she was about 5-6 I told her it was time for bed and she didn't want to so I said, "Honey, you're tired, I can see it in your eyes". Well the next time I had to tell her it was time for bed she opened her eyes Wide Open and said; "I'm not tired--See"!
It didn't work--I put her to bed anyway and she never tried the wide eyes open thing again.
Hahaha. They really will try everything from going to bed. I could see both my girls doing the same Roy.
Here's a couple for ya--
