They can, but it is more fun when the decide they like someone who doesn't like cats! I remember having a cat (Fred)that loved my dad even though he ignored him and tried to avoid any contact. Fred would follow him all over the house and yard and sleep at the foot of his bed!
I must have a cats soul, I used to do rescues and adoptions for Pet Smart. I helped them rotate the cats in the cages and get them used to human contact, still have 4 from that era, one cat I found under my car in the dead of winter when I lived in ATL., 6 inches of ice and snow on the ground and there is this 4 week old kitten in the only dry spot under my car. I wish I knew how she got there. She is curled up in a box with my black tom cat in front of me right now.
T and O, if I had followed up on my original Siamese Tom that, on meeting my future wife, attacked her ankles with a savage vengeance, my life would have gone down a different path. They sense a hell of a lot more than we give them credit for. I love it when they appear in your life when you least expect it and it may take tears before you know and understand whey they did.
Here's myself, and my little buddy, sneakers . He just loves pinaud clubman origanal. He will climb up on me, and rub his face all over mine so he can smell good too. I Think he likes it more than "Hirlau"

And this is Levi. He's our newest addition, but hes been in the family for awhile. He belonged to my brother inlaw, who passed away the day after this Christmas. He asked his sister (my wife) a couple months ago, if we would take him.
His job kept him away from Levi most of the time, so he wanted someone who would give him the love he deserves . At the time we said no. But after his recent and sudden death, Levi was alone.
So we honored his wish, and he is now ours.
Say hello to everyone Levi...Attachment 223631

Make no mistake about his size. He's already 15 pounds and should top out at 20.
outback, two handsome little guys ya got there. Are they getting along with each other?
I got a Bengal too. We learned windows XP together and shopped for female kitties sometimes. He never found anything he really wanted so it's still just me and him. He is 18 pounds and plays like he is still a kitty. We stop at the first draw of blood so he is real good at keeping the claws in. He is a blast. Loves water and plays more like a dog. He used to fetch small balls but quit that after I got his nuts cut. An association thing I think :<0) He is strictly indoor for health reasons and he hates all other cats for some reason. I pulled him out of a fight 1 night and regretted that. I just have this panic when he gets out because they told me he would leave for days and might go wild after sometime. He is F4 which means he is forth generation from wild mother. They are a cross between a Chinese fishing cat and an American short hair. He can be very noisy at times and makes sounds I never heard out of a cat before. Kind of a growl, meow, raaaoooow thing.
