Oh crap, I just googled it and it's real. They actually dye the river. They claim it is "environmentally friendly" and yet keep the formula a secret.

Yeah it's real. The pic is obviously photoshopped but dying the river is a long standing tradition. No one is worried about the environmental aspect because the river has been toxic since the 1800s. They reversed the flow of it to make the drinking water safer. The running joke is the question why they can't dye it blue the rest of the year.
