I've found that the last couple of hot spells I've really enjoyed a trip to a local Brewery. I'll generally order a Hefeweizen as they seat us and then proceed with a sampler tray. In between I'm trying 1oz samples of beers I never would purchase for the house. I've found a couple of IPA's I would probably never tried otherwise.
I try to hit a different Brew house each time.
A Buddy made this for me after golfing once and it was hot weather perfection...
He called it 'Altawasser' (Forgive my spelling attempt...) which was 50% ice cold Beck's and 50% ice cold Sprite in a frozen glass. Fantastic when you are north of the cemtury mark!! :)
A couple popular german beverages were interesting but never tried. Also helpful with the .05 drinking limit. Its lemonade and beer. Anothet is half hefeweizen and half cola. A coworker over there hooked a bunch of aussies on the cola version.
Nothing beats Vodka & Tonic over crushed ice on a hot day ... We used to refer to them as "glaciers!"
Moscow Mule in an un-lined copper cup with a ginger beer that contains a little ETOH, or mojito. A classic caribbean rhum punch comes to mind as well. "One of Sour, Two of Sweet, Three of Strong, Four of Weak."

I saw that and was with friends who drank it around Northern Germany last summer. Germany seems to have all kinds of strange beer and soda concoctions, none of which I felt compelled to try. And though I tried some good beers all over the UK and Ireland, my cold-loving American tastebuds just couldn't seem to like the cellar-temp brews pumped up from the barrels.
Now here at home, I enjoy an ice-cold gin ant tonic with lime (and Beefeater's is fine-if I'm going to plunk down serious coin for booze, it's going to be on scotch!). A cold citrusy IPA also hits the spot, or even a near-frozen PBR for yardwork! But often as not, I also enjoy a non-alcoholic grape-juice with tonic water and lime over ice too! It all depends on the mood.
