I decided to wind down the day with a favorite I grew up with, The Neverending Story.
Which kinda made me think, we've got a 'what are you listening to?' Thread so...why not this? So, what have you got up on the big screen?

Watched ' American Honey ' last night.
Pointless film really. It's about poor ppl?
Luckily it kept my other half interested while I honed up an over buffed wade and Butcher..
Time well spent :)
I just watched "The Goonies". God I miss the 80's! :)
Watched The Burbs earlier and now the NHL skills competition.

Finally getting around to watching "Django Unchained." :deadhorse:
I've been binge watcing house while honing the last 5 hours or so
The first season of Longmire. I know it's been around for a few years but I'd never heard of it in this remote corner of the world and my local bookseller gave me a lend of her newly ordered DVD. The star is a countryman and I'm happy to report that I like it.
In the last 2 days I've seen Moana, Tangled, and Kung Fu panda 3.
Oh the life of a father of 2 little girls.....
Rambo marathon.

I'm waiting for Master Chef Junior to start on February 9th.
Last light, about 11:30pm I open of Netflix and would you believe it, they have a new "Netflix Original" series of..... Voltoron. I watched episode 1. I was a little worried at first. Years ago I watched some of the old Sinbad movies from my childhood. And they were not anywhere near as awesome as I once remembered. I turned off the TV a wiser man. So I was a little worried about Voltron. But wouldn't you know it, they did a damn good job! The animation is of the type used during my childhood. And the dialogue although simple enough for kiddos to get into was also done well enough that I was entertained as well. I recommend it to anyone who watched that cartoon growing up, to check out the Netflix version, and hopefully you'll enjoy it as much as I did.
Hahaha! Yeah, I had a bit of mixed reaction to it. I've seen both seasons. I'll give them this much, they didn't maim it too terribly. I'd go as far as to say the animation is a huge step up from the original. And there's a flowing plot line rather than random disjointed story segments that don't flow so well, which is also good.
Maladroit - if you like Longmire, I also recommend Hell on Wheels. I still need to catch the last season of it.
I've burned a lot of time on YouTube lately. It's so fascinating what you can learn there! Last week I learned how to lay the foundation and make the cuts for joining the logs of a cabin. This week it was more damascus forging and "no spin knife throwing" how-tos. I don't know if this information will ever do me any good, but I can thank YouTube for having the answers!
I freaking love YouTube! You can learn darn near anything! From how to cook like it's the 1700's, to clutch swaps, copper plating, a new language, or even AutoCad. It is a wealth of knowledge!
Interesting on their algorithm though. I too was getting a suggested video to watch for spineless knife throwing. Hmm....
Watching a series called the Borgias at the moment with Jeremy Irons as the Borgia pope, pretty good show. Fortitude is another good one, vikings too.
Watched Howl's living castle last night, a japanese anime written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki.
I enjoy Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli's work. They made a lot of good movies over the years.
Yesterday I was sort of on a cheesy horror movie kick. Mega shark VS Mecha Shark was probably the highlight because it was every bit as corny as the title makes it sound. I was not disappointed lol.
Cheers I'll take a look at Medici.
Started watching Westworld, looks like it could be quite good.
Watched The Revenant today. Excellent flick.
