Hey, nothing wrong with Bose Wave Radios in my book. They sound OK to me. Obviously no BIG vintage stereo system sound, but for their SIZE, they are decent. I have a few Kloss Model 88 table radios from the 90s that I picked-up. I think Henry Kloss had a better "wave" radio but that's only my opinion. So I bought three and spread them around the house. I still use them from time to time.

The Kloss 88 had a remote AND an OPTIONAL Clock remote to set an alarm and to control the radio from the clock remote. Pretty cool. Fully adjustable bass Wave for bass.

Here is one of my Kloss 88 radios in my Armoire in my bedroom under the TV. I use it now for Alexa Dot streaming at night.

Now that's what I'm talkin' about! I'm a HUGE Mac fan. I'll post mine later in the thread. I have other systems to showcase first. One room at a time. Wow. That's music to my EYES. Thanks for posting.

Those Magnepans are stunning. Of course, the Macs speak to me. And that Aurender takes out all the worry about a good DAC. You have the streaming chain NAILED my friend. Well done indeed. THUMBS-UP!

When I'm in Florida, I sit out on my patio. I have it decorated to look like a hunting and Fishing lodge. I have a nice system out there consisting of large Fisher Floor Speakers (16" drivers), with Onkyo secondary speakers on the wall so I can drive 4 ohms. The Amp is a Realistic SA-1001 35 Watter, however,the Foster design of the amp sees that as loafing. With 4 ohms it drives nearly 50 watts and that's plenty. I don't want to blow the roof off of the patio.

Some pics of my FAKE hunting - Fishing lodge, also knows as my patio. I try and make believe I'm deep in Canada (when I pump the Air Conditioning) and play Jazz to chill on Sunday. Like today.;

No pictures however my system partly goes back 30 years. A pair of Vandersteen model 3s and a 10 inch Velodyne Sub, A 120 watt AR Power Amp, a highly modified Counterpoint Preamp, a Cary CD Player, a Magnum Dynalab MD 102 Tuner, a Cary Earphone Amp, McCormack phono amp and Thorens Turntable.

Many moons ago I used to build EICO and Dynaco Kits and speaker enclosures too. But that's a very long time ago during the days of all tube and hand wired components.

We could have a long discussion here about the merits of tube equipment but most folks around these days don't realize the piss poor state of affairs in tube manufacture at present.

I love tubes. My Mac system is tube based. My Fisher system is tube based as well. Tubes are soft, warm and harmonious. Love the way they sound. The closest I have come to tube warmth on solid state is my 1969 Pioneer SX-1000tw Receiver that I have in my living room paired to a pair of original Lattice Grill Pioneer speakers (that weigh a ton). Boy, they built them strong back in the day. I'll post pics of my Mac tubes and the Pioneer system later in the week. One step at a time. For now, the old Pioneer SX-1000tw Receiver and matching speakers the day I brought them home from Craigslist;

Too much backlighting from the window to take a picture of the head-end, so I will post one in the next day or so.

Guilty. Unfortunately almost all of mine resides in my attic as I have no where to set it up. TRANSLATION (wife does not like to look at it).

That's some nice equipment, even without model specifics. There must be some place you can set it up, no? Garage, cellar, corner of a room somewhere? Patio?
