If you put all your stick in one humidor, won’t they absorb the aroma of the other cigars? So if you put some nice aged Maduro in with some mild natural wrapper sticks, won’t the mild cigars get more pungent over time? Is it best to keep them separated and like styles in their own humidor to avoid cross contamination?
Another newbie question. What is the proper way to light a cigar? I have read several things in several locations. To date, my best smoke was from a cigar that I eased into lighting. Using a butane lighter, I slowly warmed the end until it ignited. I avoided actually touching flame to tip, gently rolling the cigar so the tip heated even. Then when a slight white ash was even across the tip I started the draw, after I put out the flame. That gave me a very mellow and well flavored smoke. When I have used matches I get a sharp, almost sulfur taste, same with a regular lighter. Is it just me, or is there something to this.
Ok, one last question. How many of you find cigarettes stinky? I like the aroma of a pipe or cigar but cigarettes are repulsive.
