I was a bike mechanic and sales guy for 4 years while I was in college and I don't think my "manhood" could take a rigid frame. Is there any particular reason you don't have any suspension? BTW those look like pretty nice trails, in AZ all of the trails have pointy stuff on them (I miss MN:( )


But as far as me I am an avid cigar smoker, I am just getting into straight edge shaving, I have my own woodshop, and I grow fruit hydroponically. Oh and I have a really bad habit of buying houses and gutting and remodeling them. This wouldn't be so bad if after every one I didn't say to myself "this is the last one " and buy a pretty new house only to do it again 3 months later (I am on my 4th house in 5 years and am already talking about selling this one)

I am in the process of purchasing land in Rice Lake, WI. When I sell my current house in AZ I am going to be moving up there and me and my wife are building a log cabin. We have a contractor lined up to do the basement and some of the outer walls (Grunt work) but I am building all of the interior (cabinets, doors, flooring, bathrroms, etc)

My DIY hobbies when I find time (and why my business is downsizing, time to enjoy life more) involve making bamboo shakuhachi flutes, gardening and woodworking. In the past I made a few knives, flyrods and flies, lots of woodworking, wet-plate photography where one pours their own emulsions on glass plates, and building up bicycles. Right now I am restoring/rebuilding a pair of 30 year old Peugeot road bikes.

Other hobbies too but not DIY types.

my hands on hobby is making dreamcatchers. I've got one that I made from a grapevine wreath and a coon tail.

I also design my own walking sticks, I have to use them, so why have a boring stick? I've made one that looks like a large peace pipe, using a clay pipe bowl for the grip,and rabbit fur, beads and feathers for decoration. My Endocrinologist took one look at it and asked if it was for smoking or for walking lol. Unfortunately it isn't hollow, so it's just for walking.

My current one will be a combination fishing rod/ walking stick. The hold-up at the moment is working out the logistics of the reel seat.I have cut out a portion of the wood, where the reel should be placed, but the stays are the big hold-up. I'm thinking of finding someone to weld a large washer to a bolt and then just using a nut on the bottom to clamp the whole thing down. I have had someone suggest just simplifying things and use a couple of hose clamps, but I want it to look decent. lol. The cane I'm using for the fishing pole is the straight one with the walnut gearshift knob leaning against the door.

My DIY hobbies...
I do leather working off and on, taught it to 4H kids for 3 years,
I enjoy gardening, trust me in Tucson, Az gardening is a hair pulling experience. between the rodents, birds, and the sun it keeps you busy.
I like hunting, fishing, camping, and generally being outdoors. Due to a knee problem that has been a little difficult lately.
I enjoy some cooking and being with my kids

I do a bit of my own fly tying for my fly fishing. While I am not the greatest fly fisherman, I do enjoy an outing even if I don't catch anything.
I also do my own printing for my photography business. I just don't find that I can get the quality that I want out of a lab.
