I do mean any, I personally do medieval with an organization called society for creative anachronism (SCA). I've been doing it for about 16yrs now. I have some friends that also to civil war era.
We Scadian really are every where.. been in the SCA for 11yr's now. I live in Mid Realm Barony of the Flame area. Member of House Iron Star and Ye Old Mead Hovel. Going to Pennsic this year? If you are then then we should get to gether and hang out. What Kingdom do you live in? and What Household do you belong to?
I've never been with the SCA, but I did a few years of (U.S.) Civil War re-enacting (79th New York), and a lot of Northern California Renaissance Faire and Dickens Fairs. (By a lot, read Way Too Many.)
I've not really done anything this century, due to having lived elsewhere for a time and now having a small child, but the urge to hand sew and shoot black powder is still there.
I figure there must be some civil war reenactors here, but I'm very curious how many of you reenact.
My period of choice is early middle ages, I'm the one with the red and yellow shield.

Shaving with a straight every day, does that count as reenactoring?
When Mel Gibson starred in Braveheart was he reenactoring, actoring or acting? A hyphen might help, but I don't think that there is such a word as reenactoring.
