All I have right now is an M&P9 full size and about a third of an AR in parts. I live in MA and the assault weapons ban is still in effect at the state level, after I had started collecting parts me and the SO contemplated moving to NH so I put the build on hold in the chance that I could build it without the restrictions however we decided to not move out of state so I need to finish collecting parts.
I am a gun enthusiast but income issues of the past 10 years including school and having a kid have limited my disposable funds so I dont have much of a collection at the moment...
My best rifle is this .54 caliber.

I used to be a native born
MA resident but have been an NH resident for years. I could no longer live without freedom in a state that wants to eliminate me and the principles that I hold dear through attrition.
I too have relatives in MA and work in MA. Fortunately, I was able to get away. MA is a great place for education, medical care, and to work, but the bad aspects of Puritanism still rears its ugly head from time to time. William Barker from my home town plead guilty to a capitol offence and promised to never do it again, but others stubbornly claimed innocence and refused to admit their guilt. Barker was imprisoned and the stubborn ones executed. Barker later died at home of old age. The charge was witchcraft. MA also drove the Quakers from my neighborhood to Nantucket where the Quakers founded the whaling industry and became leaders of the abolitionist movement. There were upright Puritans. John Eliott printed the 1st book in New England, the bible in Wampanoag for the "praying Indians" of Natick. The Puritans of Boston later incarcerated the Natick Wampanoags on Deer Island in Boston Harbor where most of them perished from exposure and starvation.
That is some rifle ! Is it an original like it appears to be or an exceptionally fine modern production? Who made it?
My favorite was an original trapdoor Springfield shooting black powder behind a cast 500 gr bullet. I was always amazed at how tight a group I could shoot with that long barrel and the Buffington sight when loading the same case right at the bench.

Nessmuck, that is a fine looking Tulle.
Sheajohnw, the rifle in my post is reproduction of a Virginia Rifle, built for me by Mike Brooks.
I spent last Sunday as an RO for a Full auto machine gun shoot and 4x4 Off road event. It was a long day, but we got to spend a good deal of time shooting ourselves and better yet the ammo was free and I earned my standard hourly rate doing it.

Anyone care to take a guess at the line up?

This is the bullet from a .50 pulled out of a pumpkin at 250 meters. Our best guess is that it skipped across the dirt a few times before getting stuck in the side.
Just a guess.

Whoops, I didn't even see the 60. If it was a snake it would have bitten me.
And I must have mis-typed on the AK. I thought I typed 47.
I miss shooting myself. Last time it happened we were boating and I lost all my guns, right to the bottom they went...

This is a test. I'm checking to see if I can post a picture. So the picture chosen is an 1895 Swedish Mauser in 6.5 X 55 Swede. It sure is fun to shoot and to hunt with. Now we'll see if I can post pictures.
Oops........wrong rifle. The rifle pictured is an old Mossberg in .30-06. Its my old stand-by, I bought it in 1969 and its killed more deer than I can remember.
