Hi,
For the first time for almost twenty years we've had a decent winter that arrived about mid December. It's been cold, but when i was kid winters were still much colder and there were more snow. During my few week vacation i skied almost daily about 10-20 km.
Landscapes have been really beautiful for weeks now. I tried to take few photos with my pocket camera, but pecause of my poor skills, these pics can't really show how forests look almost like black and white photos.
This is a neat shot of what it looks like over the lake when it goes from 45F to 10F overnight.

Wow, those pictures are amazing. They look like a picture post card. :)
We love these pics, we live in South Texas if you get my drift, though it did get down in the teens a couple of nights last week, really cold/winter type weather is not something that we get too much of especially the snow, probly once a decade that amounts to anything. :)

Sometimes the wrong color balance is better.
Just a couple of pictures I took today. Getting some Arctic air and some Lake Effect off Ontario. They are saying we are probably going to get about a foot in the next couple of days.
As we say down here "Wow, that looks so nice (on postcards)". :)

finally got some descent snow here in TN hopefully it keeps up all night and have lots in the morning

Those winter pictures all look fantastic. Winter here in Thailand (yes we do get winter) looks just like any other time of year but there are a heap of Thais walking around in jackets and scarves. It doesn't really get cold, the lowest temperature would be about 20c (68f). The only reason for the jackets and scarves is that Thais are very suggestable. Because they have been told it is winter they feel cold.
While we automatically think of outdoor images, certain things we see indoors can also only be "winter scenes":

This is kind of unusual for here; don't get near as much as when I lived in Kansas and Missouri. Ended up with 9 inches. The dog liked the snowball fight.
