i like moussorsgky, borodin. haven't listened to classical much a while. can't sit still.
Rage over a Lost Penny by Beethoven and performed by pretty much anyone (Kissin does a good rendition)
No particular reason I just like it alot.

Wow! No way to choose one! I've always had a thing for Berlioz Symphonie Fantastique. Of course, as others have mentioned, you can't leave out the greats like Mozart, Bach, Beethoven, etc...
When I was in grad school, I had to conduct the the 1st and 4th movements of Brahms Ein Deutches Requiem. Then for a different class, I wrote a short paper comparing and contasting the Brahms requiem with Verdi's Requiem. Needless to say, I wasn't able to scratch the surface in a short paper, but I had a blast lstening, studying, listening, studying, etc...
Also, Maurice Durafle's Requiem (Sanctus)
The Poulenc Gloria is another delightful sacred piece. I have enjoyed listening to it many times.

I had read that somewhere after I first heard the song and had to find out more about it. I have probably 10 or more renditions of the piece by different performers. I can't explain why I like it, I just do.
Other more recent scores are those by Bruce Rowland for he Man from Snowy River Movie. quite a few of those scores are nice. some of the scores are classical in style but modern in age.

Yes, many versions of that piece exist. Beethoven originally wrote it for the piano. I can imagine him sitting at the piano and banging away on the keys. A fun piece.

My absolute favorite is easy. Vladimir Horowitz playing Rachmaninov`s 3`rd piano conserto. I have listened to this conserto a thousend times, and loved every minute. I think Horowitz was in his own league playing Rachmaninov.
