The Outlaws "Green Grass and High Tides" recorded live in front of a small audience at the Record Plant in LA in 1976 around the time that they were releasing their second record. .This was part of a series of show called "Live From The Record Plant. The recording made the rounds of the Central Florida rock radio stations a number of years back and I found it on Youtube. It clocks in at about 14.45, so it is about 4 or 5 minutes shorter than the marathon versions of the song they did in like 77-80, but still face metal guitar playing. Still my favorite version.
To show how much I check out the world around me, I just heard that Ben E. King passed away a few days ago.
I've always like his music so here's a live version of Stand By Me recorded about 26 years after it was first a hit.
I hope all will enjoy;

Heard this one on the way to work this morning. One of the most beautiful songs about a bar that I've heard for a long time. :)

This is what I am listening recently. I discover this Australian guy on mayspace some years ago.
His CD is amazing and deserves much more attention.
The Whisperer on Radio Classics on Sirius/Xm radio.
A song from my youth and a live version by a very creative writer, songstress and entertainer.

I'm rewatching season one of True Detective. This is the eerie song in the opening credits.
