I just received a Paul McCartney CD that I've been wanting. Here's a live version of his cover of a Gene Vincint tune. Blue Jean Bop

And his cover of one of the first songs Carl Perkins which I believe he wrote at the age of 13. This is the CD version.

Joe King Carrasco, brings back good memories
Throughout my life, but especially now, in my "senior" years, I prefer classical music. These days I tend to listen to WRCJ-FM, streaming over the Internet out of Detroit, MI. Sunday afternoons between 2-4PM, they have a show called "Pipe Dreams", which features classical organ music played on pipe organs here in the US, as well as abroad. During today's presentation they mentioned that the complete organ works of J.S. Bach (played by Dr. James Kibbie) are now freely available for download, courtesy of the University of Michigan, at this site. These are high-quality, modern (2007-2009) recordings, and one can download the entire collection in one shot (2Gbytes), or as individual, smaller sections. I downloaded them, and am enjoying as I write these words; you can, as well.
Yo Yo Ma playing Bach's Cello Suite #1. I can listen to it all day!
